|Home Team:||TOR Blue Jays|
|Away Team:||BOS Red Sox|
The first two games of the series ended in similar result 4-3, only inverting the winner. The Blue Jays took the first one and the Red Sox the next one last night.
Sale lost his last outing at Oakland allowing 3 runs in 7 innings. That was an odd outing as in previous 4 outings he allowed a single run in 3 and none in one. So far he struck out 41 batters in 29 innings and will steady the ship tonight as it usually happens to great pitchers that are "forced" to lose a previous game to support a team-fan week celebrated during the series at Oakland Coliseum.
The Blue Jays will encounter with Estrada who will need a great run support to get out respectfully from this affair. The last time out he was lucky enough the Yankees were as favored as the Red Sox were in Sale's last game in Oakland and that has led to a Blue Jays win 8-5 while Estrada allowed 5 runs in 5 innings. Estrada's ratio when it comes to strike outs versus the innings is also very bad one compared to Sale's. Estrada struck out only 18 in 22 innings. And, while Sale allowed altogether 6 runs on 22 hits in 29 innings striking out 41 and walking 6, Estrada allowed 13 runs on 22 hits in 22 innings striking out 18 and walking 8.
Overall, the Red Sox and Sale RL are the spot play here.
