|Home Team:||WASH Nationals|
|Away Team:||PHI Phillies|
Half the games of the World Cup 2018 in Russia are behind us and we better get used to our own Baseball again. We have tonight a game in Washington between the local Nationals and visiting Phillies. Our pick is about the totals.
If you do not really get deep inside the stats of Philadelphia's Nick Pivetta you may think that today's totals line is way lower than it is supposed to be. But, once you study them well you realize that this pitcher has regular games and then the games he pitches 7 innings or more. Well, what you know? He "lasted" 7 innings or more 4 times. And in those 28.1 innings, he only allowed 5 runs on 15 hits (2 HR's included). Now, only that stat wouldn't mean much, but, pay attention to this - following his three 7 innings outings - he allowed only 3 runs in three games. And, guess what - the fourth 7 inning or more outing (7.1 to be exact) was exactly his last outing. So, I expect him to play up to his potential tonight.

The Nationals send Jefry Rodriguez to the mound who for me is kind of enigma. But, knowing the nationals aren't looking forward to get swept tonight and knowing they can't get much runs against Pivetta - Rodriguez muct have shown them something we haven't seen yet as after the first outing where he didn't allow any runs in 4 innings - he was tagged for 5 in 5 innings.

So, 9 runs line for me is plenty to work on under. I expect the bullpens to do their jobs today.
